Shaygan Keradpir Makes A Big Move To Coriant
Network solutions leader Coriant has named Shaygan Kheradpir CEO and president of board of directors. He will succeed outgoing CEO Pat Di Pietro, who will assume another position within the company. The Cornell University graduate held previous executive positions at Verizon, Barclays Juniper Networks and AT&T. Kheradpir will use his new position to lead the strategic operations team to strengthen solutions and focus. Kheradpir brings over thirty years business and operational experience to the table and has proven leadership qualities.
Kheradpir’s knowledge and business savvy has played a role in expanding and upgrading data for demand and market opportunities, which brought about the evolution to 4G. “What makes me excited about Coriant is the world-class technologies and network innovations,” says Kheradpir. Currently, Coriant operates in over 100 countries. Great emphasis is placed on global each and money-saving customer solutions that will enable customers to have the highest degree of programmability.
Shaygan Kheradpir is a highly-recognized face in the networking solutions industry. He has had an interest in working as an engineer or in information technology since he was a child. Kheradpir was born in London, but has deep roots that tie to Iran.
His first job at GTE Laboratories helped him hone his skills in network routing and management. As Kheradpir moved up the ranks, he made a number of significant innovations in network technology. He holds many patents and currently has a seat on Cornell’s Innovative Council. Kheradpir says he is ready for the challenge and opportunity to lead Coriant into the 21st century. “He is one of the best in the field and his contributions will undoubtedly be invaluable” says Di Pietro.
