Scott Rocklage: Businessman, Researcher, and Inventor
Scott Rocklage is a doctor, businessman, and a medical researcher. Rocklage is an inventor, too. He has several different patents presently listed under his name.
Scott Rocklage has more than two decades of practical experience in the field of health. Rocklage has held numerous executive positions over the last 20+ years. He was employed as the head of Miikana and Ilypsa. Both companies were later bought by Entremed and Amgen respectively.
He became a venture partner at 5AM Ventures in 2003. The company is a venture capital firm that invests in new biological companies. The next year he took on the position of managing partner.
Currently, he is the chairman of the board for both Novira Therapeutics and Cidara Therapeutics. Additionally, he is a board member for Rennovia, Pulmatrix, Kinestral, and Epirus. He presently works from the offices of 5AM Ventures in Massachusetts.

Rocklage completed his formal education by getting a Ph.D. in chemistry from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Rocklage also did specific research under the wing of Nobel Prize winner Richard Schrock.
Rocklage is also the penman behind more than 100 scientific research works have been published in different peer-reviewed publications. Some sources indicate that it was Rocklage’s leadership in the field that led to the approval of several different drugs by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) including both Teslascan and Omniscan. Rocklage is also reported to have been responsible for several other medications being chosen for clinical trials.
Scott Rocklage feels that the secret to his success in terms of making dreams realities and creating innovative drugs has largely to do with his work with various scientists, physicians, and entrepreneurs.
Rocklage once told the press that his personal productivity was due to his particular organizational skills. He concluded that his excitement concerning current developments in the field of cancer treatment because of all the future potential possibilities.
